January to March (Calving Season)

Ideal for seeing thousands of newborn wildebeest in the southern plains. Predator action is high, making it excellent for photography.

April to May (Green Season / Low Season)

Fewer crowds and lush landscapes. Some roads may be muddy, but it’s great for birdwatching and quieter safaris.

How to Get There

By Road (Safari Vehicle)
The most common option. From Arusha, it takes about 6–8 hours depending on the route. It’s perfect for game viewing along the way and often combined with stops like Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

By Air (Light Aircraft Flights)
Faster and more comfortable. Daily scheduled flights operate from Arusha or Zanzibar to various airstrips inside the Serengeti (like Seronera, Kogatende, or Ndutu). Ideal for saving time and accessing remote areas.

Combination (Fly-in + Drive Safari)
A popular option: fly into the Serengeti and explore by 4×4 vehicle once inside the park.
