This 12-day Tanga Beach Holiday is a masterful blend of adventure, history, and “bush-meets-beach” relaxation. Starting from the safari capital of Arusha, you’ll journey toward the coast to explore the hidden gems of Northeast Tanzania—from the ancient Amboni Caves and the lush Usambara mountains to the unique shores of Saadani, where the wildlife meets the waves

Brief itinerary below
Day 1: Arusha – Tanga
Start the drive early in the morning after breakfast with luggage through Moshi keep driving under the range of pare mountains to Korogwe and lunch stop will be at one of the transit hotel in Korogwe (own arrangement), later proceed with the drive to TANGA at Mount Usambara Hotel for overnight (Bed & Breakfast basis)

Day 2: Tanga City – Amboni Caves
Start after breakfast with a drive to Amboni caves for half day tour. These caves are located about 8km north of Tanga city along Mombasa Road. according to researchers it believed the caves were under water about 150 million years ago during Jurassic period
There are 1 interesting and adventure station and all tunnels or chambers are accessible to tourists via guided tours.
Thereafter return to the hotel (lunch own arrangement)
Afternoon at leisure, Mount Usambara Hotel for overnight (Bed & Breakfast basis)

Day 3: Canoeing Through Pangani River and Historical Tour
After breakfast you will visit Pangani historical site for a historical tour, you will get a very informative history of Pangani during coastal trade, slave trade and during colonial time and post-colonial time.
You will also conduct a canoeing tour on Pangani River beach, you will enjoy boat riding, fishing and swimming in the Indian Ocean and Pangani river. Pangani is one of the very few fine beaches in the coast of east Africa.
Evening return to Mount Usambara Hotel for overnight (Bed & Breakfast basis)

After breakfast depart with packed lunch to Amani Nature Reserve.
The Amani nature reserve is a protected area located in Tanga region. It’s the largest block within the East Usambara mountains.
Amani nature reserve 80km from Tanga city, forest area and full of bird voice and can see the chameleons, historical place. A good place for cycling, spice farms and mostly surrounded by Wasambaa tribe. Spending the whole day there evening drive to Nyumbani Hotel for overnight (Bed & Breakfast basis)

After breakfast, depart with packed lunch to Saadani National Park.
Saadani is where the beach meets the bush. The only wildlife sanctuary in East Africa to boast for an Indian Ocean beachfront, it as well possesses all the attributes that make Tanzania’s tropical coastline and islands very popular with European sun-worshipers. Yet it is also the one place where those idle hours of sunbathing might be interrupted by an elephant strolling past, or a lion coming to drink at the nearby water hole! Late afternoon return to Villa Matalai. Villa Matalai Boutique for overnight (Bed & Breakfast basis)
